Our University's Director of International Office Assoc. Prof. Murat İnce attended the European Universities Association EUA General Assembly hosted by the Polish Gdansk University of Technology.

At the general assembly, 2023-2027 European Universities Union EUA Presidency and board of directors elections were held. 55 universities from Turkey, which are full members of EUA, participated the General Assembly. In the general assembly, on behalf of our Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, Assoc. Prof. Murat Ince voted. Spenish candidate supported by the Turkish Delegation Prof. Dr. Josep M. Garrell was elected as the President of EUA.

In line with the direction and demand of the Turkish delegation, representatives of member universities from European countries paid a minute of silence for our students and faculty members who lost their lives in the 6 February Kahramanmaraş earthquakes.

Making a statement about the EUA General Assembly, our Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer said, “I would like to thank Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, President of YÖK and the valuable representatives of our universities who participated in the organization. I wish success to Prof. Josep M. Garrell, the new president and the board directors elected at the EUA General Assembly.”
